Disney Magical Memories

Happy Magical Monday!  I have Another quick Disney layout using up some of my stash.

I only used my cricut to cut the scalloped square for the background. Shocking I know! I have an entire drawer of Disney embellishments. I have no idea why I think I need everything I see that is Disney but I am forcing myself to use it up. Well at least some of it. I will be passing on a lot of it to other Disney fanatics.

This page has a metal castle charm, some rubons of Tinkerbelle and butterflies, a Disney bottlecap sticker, and a sticker for the title.

I just had another 365 pictures developed from our trip in February and we're leaving again this week. Oh will I ever catch up with Disney photos? I keep thinking I won't take as many pics but it doesn't happen. LOL and Iphones just make it worse! Our phones are always handy for that quick pic and they turn out so well there's no way to delete them or not use them. haha

Disney Tomorrowland

I'm on a Disney roll so here's a couple of layouts I did for our 2006 trip. I'm really behind I know!!

I'm trying to use up a lot of my stash so the paper is just various stuff from  my scrap drawers. It feels good to be using it up.

I cut the title using the Jubilee cart. It has some great fonts on it. Check it out. I punched circles from blue paper and made a border for the bottom.

The title was again cut from Jubilee and the space shapes are from the paper doll cart. There are all kinds of shapes on this cart you can use. If you don't have it you need it! I added stickles to them for some added dimension.

And here are a few close ups.

If you love Disney I have lots more layouts and projects so be sure to check them out.

I'm so sorry I've neglected my blog this week. I've been swamped with work and other things along with preparing for another trip to visit my son at WDW. I have been crafting a bit though so I wanted to share what I did today.
I made shirts for the four of us to wear. My son doesn't want any part of it but I'm hoping he'll like it and do it for me. ;o)

These twor are for hubby and me.

And these two are for my kiddos.

I had Mandy from the DIS boards design them for me. She did a fabulous job. I did learn alot making them so if I ever do it again I hope I remember. LOL

A close up of my sons and daughters shirt. They are definitely mischievious and as close of friends as Chip and Dale are.

This one is mine. I loved the designer Princesses. I look the most like Snow White but decided on Belle because I like her better. hee hee

This one is for hubby. It's Gopher from Tigger and the gang. He's in construction and we always joke with him repeating lines from him like "No estimates, too risky" or "that's a great idea, we'll blast him out". You just have to know my husband and Gopher to get it. LOL

I hope you enjoy my shirts and do something crafty for yourself today.

CTMH Tweet Wonderful You

I'm here with this weeks Mojo sketch challenge for sweetsassydiva Design Team. I love their sketches for a jumping off spot when designing. Be sure to check them out if you love to work with sketches.

I started with the sketch and some scraps I had on my desk from a project i just completed as well as a stamp that is coming in June from CTMH. I stamped the background with some of the small flower stamps in 2nd generation stamping with Blush and Creme Brulee ink. I think it gave a beautiful soft effect perfect for some background paper. Next I cut the flower shape from my Art Philosophy cart and stamped in with a coordinating stamp. The scalloped square was made the same way. Added some bling and there you go a quick simple card with some fun techniques.

I hope you enjoyed it

Disney's Magical Monday

Happy Tiggerific Tuesday. I hope it's been a good one so far. Sorry this is up a bit late. I had to go in and see the dentist this morning. Ugh.  I lost a filling way back and have just been a baby about getting it fixed. Well teach me. They have to do a root canal now. They started it this morning and will finish in six weeks. Thankfully I found a great dentist and he was very gentle.

I didn't do a lot for this layout but the pictures kind of stole the show anyways. LOL I cut the spaceship from the Paper Doll cart. I'm going to use it for my journaling. Hope you enjoy and do some scrapping for yourself today!

CTMH Create Banner

A few weeks ago I found a great blog Exploring Cricut. If you haven't found it yet be sure to check it out. There are some fabulous projects featured there and some challenges to get you going.

I was thrilled when Diane asked me if I'd consider being a Guest Designer for them this week. I hope you enjoy the project I created and it inspires you to explore your cricut a little more. ;o)

I've been wanting to create this banner for a while with the new CTMH Lucy papers. I adore pink and the papers match my studio perfectly.

I used my CTMH Art Philosophy cartridge to cut all of my pieces from the Lucy paper packet. With the AP cartridge there's no need to cut down pieces or file them away when you want to cover chipboard. I simply match up the shapes to the CTMH chipboard and cut the size they are. How easy is that?!

I used Liquid Glass to adhere the paper to the chipboard pieces. It dries really quick and has a good solid bond. I want this lasting a long time hanging in my studio.

Next I inked the edges of all my cuts with my Grey wool ink pad.

For the flowers I took Blush and Creme Brulee with my Hooray Boquet stamp set and stamped the flowers. Even though the stamp set doesn't match this flower it's big enough to cover them and I wanted the patterns on my flower. Using a tone on tone makes a great effect when stamping flowers.

Here's a close up of some of the detail. I used our Seam Binding ribbon to hang it up by. You can use ink to color it any color you like. I chose to leave it white for this project. I used my white pen to add some detail to my butterflies and flowers and then added my bling.

I hope you enjoyed my banner today and come back soon to visit me again. If you'd like to order any of the products I used in todays post I'd love to be your consultant. Here's a complete list with links or you can click on the shopping basket to peruse all of our great products!

Hello Sweetie

I decided to work with the leftover pieces from Mondays project to create another card. I used my Imagine to create my background paper as well  as the chicken. I love being able to drop patterned papers into my images, printing, and then cutting them. It doesn't get any easier for matching up patterned papers than that.

I stamped the oval with the crosshatch stamp from CTMH April Stamp of the Month You Are. I thought it was perfect for this card. I then mounted it on an oval corrugated milepost shape from CTMH. The flowers are CTMH Just Blooms Paper Shapes. I put a couple of brads in the centers and called it done. Isn't she a sweetie?! LOL

I hope you enjoy her and here are all the Details:

Welcome Back for another Magical Monday! Well how about a Tiggerific Tuesday? LOL

I very rarely do one page layouts but I've found myself doing a few in this Disney album. Even if I only have enough photos for one page I usually find some way to tie two sets of photos together where the papers and design flows together. It's just the way my brain works but you know sometimes you just have to break away.

I used the Pixar cart to make a title. I had to cut it several times out of different papers so i could get the actual look of their emblem. I found the journaling block on the Pixar cart too. It's part of another cut but I thought it worked great for the Incredibles and would make a great journaling block. The metal swirls were some embellishments I've had in my stash for forever. I used a sketch from Scrapbook Generations but took several liberties so I would say I was inspired by it but not necessarily followed it. ;o)

Supplies
Cricut
Disney Pixar Cart
Cardstock

I hope you enjoy this Disney layout and will join me again next week for another Magical Monday!

Have a Tiggerific Tuesday!

You're Truly Original

Hello peeps! I hope you're having a fabulous Easter week. I'm here today with another hen and chick project from the sweetsassydiva Design team. If you came looking for the Magical Monday post where I feature a Disney project it will be up tomorrow. ;o)

I decided I wanted to play a little with my Imagine and my new Stamp of the Month from CTMH. I think they were a perfect match.

I started by filling my images with patterns from the Kate's Kitchen cart. This is my favorite way to use my Imagine. I mean how easy is it to create matching pattern papers without going through my whole stash. I put in all the layers I needed to create my chicken and then filled them with the colors I wanted. I did a couple of extra so I could use my leftovers for another card. Hop on over to my blog Wednesday to see it. Then I chose the layers I wanted and put her together. I inked the edges, added a little pen work and some chalk for her cheeks and she really came to life.

I stamped the crosshatch background with grey wool. The words were stamped with barn red and then cut out. I adhered then onto an oval milepost shape. I love these little corrugated cardboard shapes to create with. The green base was printed with the Imagine as well.

I hope you enjoyed my card today. It totally makes me laugh because I can't keep from thinking KFC Original or Extra Crispy. LOL Of course my daughter looks at me like I've lost my mind. haha

Close To My Heart You're Top Notch

This is the final card in my set I've been sharing the last couple of weeks. If you've missed any be sure to back up to the first post where I share all the designing details.

I hope you've enjoyed this little series of cards and tutorial peek into the designing process. I'd love to hear what you think and how you've used the CTMH How To books or other sketch books. I love to create from sketches and encourage you to try it if you haven't already. There are many great free sites with sketches for cards and layouts but remember just because it's labeled a card sketch doesn't mean it wouldn't work for a layout and vice versa.

CTMH A Note for You

Hello friends! I hope you're having a fabulous beginning to your spring season. It's been nice here. We had a week of rain but I'm so glad it's gone and now we're left with sunshine and a lot of green grass.

Today I have another card using the Stella paper. I told you I loved it. I have used all but just a few little scraps so this may be my last project using it for a little while though. I'll just have to move on to the other wonderful collections we added this season. What a shame. LOL

This is actually my sample for a create and take I'm teaching for a CTMH gathering this coming weekend. I hope they all like it as much as I do. This is the fabulous Just For You stamp set. I have already used it almost as much as the Stella paper. Don't you love it?! It's one of our fabulous two step stamps but it can be used so many other ways. Be sure to check out the layout I used it on here.

I first cut the flower shape with the Art Philosophy cart and then I stamped the outline with cocoa ink. Next stamp the various petals with sunset. I stamped two leaves with Olive. I tied embroidery floss through the bling button and then just adhered it all to the card. Fast, Fabulous, and oh so simple!

Disney Magical Mondays Pack Your Bags

Hello and welcome to Magical Mondays! I'm trying to finish up some photos from our previous Disney trips and these are from our first flight and our first trip to WDW. I love the pics of my daughter as we're taking off. The range of emotions were priceless. Of course mine are hard for my family to forget as well. LOL

I'm claustrophobic and scared of flying so my son was having fun closing the window shade. He only tried it once though. He decided he wanted to live to see Disney World.

I used Pack Your Bags for all my cuts and a sketch from ScrapbookGeneration. I know I've mentioned them before but I just have to say again how much I love their sketches. I just ordered two of their books and can't wait to start using them.

Pack your bags has lots of great cuts for any type of vacation. I'll be using it a lot for this album.

Supply List
Cricut Pack Your Bags
paper from $1 spot at Target

I hope you'll join me again next week for another Disney layout and another Magical Monday.

Close To My Heart You Are

I have to confess this months CTMH stamp set was very hard for me to get going with. I did a couple of cards that I'll show you next week after I finish the series of cards I'm sharing that I really do like but they're not what I wanted to show to feature this stamp. I had an idea in my head and have been playing around with it but wasn't totally happy with it. This morning I saw
fellow consultant Tamytha's card and knew how I wanted to finish my card up. I loved the color scheme she used and it was surprising how similar our ideas were. LOL
