Thinking of You Card

I've been working on some cards this week and thought I'd share. Images were stamped and colored with Stampin Up stamps and markers. The stamp set is Friendship Grows. My friends do Stampin Up mostly while I do the cricut. It's a nice friendship. ;o_

Cricut Episode 2 Father's Day Card

I'm sorry this has taken so long to post. For some reason You Tube was being difficult.
I used the Camp Out Cartridge to make the card and show how to sponge ink the details on the cuts. I also explain the differences between the solution and the full size carts along with sizing objects like the fishing pole to cut on the cricut.
I hope you enjoy and please leave feedback of what you think. I'm continuing to learn doing these videos but I'm enjoying it.

Dad's Cards

This card I made for my husband in appreciation for all the hard work he did on the upstairs to get me a place of my own. I used Stampin Up stamps for the background, tools, and sentiment. I stamped the sentiment on twill tape.

This card was made using the Camp Out cartridge. The video for this card will be uploaded tomorrow so be sure and check it out. I explain the differences between Solution and full size cartridges. I also explain the sizing of objects like the fishing pole so you know how to decide what size to cut.  You'll also learn how I inked everything.

This is the last card we made during our swarm. It's another Stampin Up Stamp and some ribbon.

All 3 were really simple and quick cards to make up. You could easily make them for any occasion.

Be sure and leave me a comment about what you think or what you'd like to see in upcoming videos.

Thanks for stopping by and have a great day!

Cricut Swarm

I held a cricut swarm yesterday in my new room for some of my best friends. None of them own a cricut so I spent some time explaining and showing the basics and then we worked on some Father's Day cards. we had a blast. I'll post close up pictures of the card and the video I made of the one soon. I need to do some editing on the video and then get close up shots of the cards.
Have a great day!

The Organizing Begins

This is the beginning of a lot of organization to come. I found curtains last night but I need to shorten them. I think they're going to be soo cute! Did you notice the pile of paper is gone? This is all my paper. My patterned paper is organized by color family in the wire racks I purchased at Target. Cardstock is in the boxes on top of the shelves. It's sorted by brands right now. I say that very loosely. It need a major rehaul. I like storing my paper in the cropper hoppers so I'll be ordering more of those and transitioning all my paper to that system. On the bottom shelf I have some page kits and 6x6 and 8x8 paper. The top shelf holds my DCWV paper stacks and my 8x11 paper. This is a picture of the space behind my desk. Of course I have a lot more things to fill it up but I'm trying to really not stuff and organize hence the boxes still under the desk. I have my embellishments, ribbon, and bind it all supplies on the left side.

Well that's about as far as I've made it. I have friends coming to scrap this weekend and I'll be teaching them how to use the cricut. We're going to be making some Father's Day cards. I'm going to work one up first so hopefully I'll have a video to upload this week.

Be sure and leave me some comments on my room. I'd love to hear any suggestions for storage.

My New Room

Finally I'm ready to move in. We have some last minute touches to the hall way and staircase but my room is finished. Oops except for the trim across the top of the half wall. I love the green walls. It's so peaceful and relaxing up here. I could stay and never come down.

I started moving all my furniture in first. I wanted to see how it would all arrange best for the space. I knew I wanted my table where I could see out both windows so everything else worked around that. I eventually want to get all matching furniture but for now I'm using what I have.

This is my daughter taking a break after we moved all the furniture and the basic supplies in. She thinks I have too much paper! LOL Never

This will be my cricut corner. My daughter is also learning to make jewelry so I told her it could be her desk to work.

I'm loving my room. I need to shop for curtains and storage containers now.

Almost time to move in

I'm soo excited. The floor is almost done. Hopefully all the trim will be done this weekend and then it's time to move in. I've really been brainstorming about deocorating and organizing. If anyone has any suggestions or links I'd love to peruse them. I will be making some videos and posting pictures of my new room and what I come up with. I know I'll be cutting some vinyl quotes for the wall. If there's anything you'd like to know or learn let me know and I'll do my best to include it.

I want to thank everyone on their comments about the first video.
Have a great day
